I have been taking technology apart since it arrived by telephone line, and each shift I got to early. Five years of that has gone into over fifty delivered products as CTO and co-founder of Digital Oriented; the rest goes into whatever I do not yet understand. Based in Milan, registered engineer, born 1997.
Recent work, outside any one field
These are mine, and usually the reason a technique shows up in client work months later.
- A salt works, read from orbit
- Reconstructs the operating state of every basin in a solar evaporation complex without a single figure from the operator: how much brine each one holds, how far along the concentration is, when it was filled and when it was drawn. Built on Salar de Atacama, where the lithium comes from, and on Margherita di Savoia. Sentinel-2 L2A, public cloud optimised imagery over STAC. No authentication and no cost.
- A twin of the Italian tax system
- An engine that carries the statute to the number: contributions, gross and net income tax, deductions, regional and municipal surtaxes, the flat regimes, and the inverse, reconstructing gross from net because the source data is always net. Used to price the quantifiable measures of a political programme with every assumption declared one by one, and explicitly refusing to judge the programme. A model can put a price on a proposal. It cannot say whether the price is worth paying.
- An expert valuation of software
- A technical report for a company valuation: pricing the software assets and the capitalisable share of engineering payroll. Method prescribed as COCOMO II, against OIC 24, IAS 38 and the Frascati Manual. Engineering judgement written to be read by accountants and lawyers.
- Due diligence over Italian fiscal PDFs
- A four layer pipeline, classifier to router to executor to validator to decision, with per field flags so a human checks only what actually needs checking. Balance sheets, returns, F24 forms, journals. Twenty documents out of twenty certified at full confidence.
- Five years of residence, reconstructed from a person’s own records
- For an EU Settlement Scheme case: two mailboxes, bank statements, an Uber archive obtained by subject access request with 522 geolocated rides, airline history, Passenger Locator Forms, payslips, council tax, tenancy agreements. Cross referenced until the timeline held up in front of the Home Office.
- An island where the animals learn
- Rabbits and foxes as reinforcement learning agents, two tabular Q tables over 6,480 states, trained across 1,024 parallel islands on the GPU, then read greedily in the browser for 500 simulated weeks of grass, seasons, breeding, drought and epizootic. Every biological constant taken from the field literature with the unit conversion written out.
- Biomedical discovery
- Swanson’s ABC model run by a language model across the literature, hunting the connection nobody has written down yet. 100M+ edges in a Neo4j knowledge graph, 200M+ embeddings searched with FAISS. Microbiome and rare disease.
- A browser agent that recovers
- A LangGraph state machine driving Chromium through Playwright. It spots a CAPTCHA, hands control to a human, and gets back up after its own crashes.

- Construction management platform
- Multi-tenant SaaS for building firms. Parses FatturaPA invoices, runs the bill of quantities, invoices by work stage. FastAPI, React 19, PostgreSQL, AWS ECS Fargate.
- AI phone secretary
- Answers the call, holds a real conversation, checks the calendar and books the meeting. Double bookings are impossible by construction. GPT-4o Realtime, Twilio, server side voice detection.
- Industrial AI suite
- Support history turned into a knowledge base a machine can answer from, and an acoustic model that judges cut quality while the blade is still running, trained on 88K sensor readings between 100 and 450 kHz.
- Fleet operations platform
- Three services keeping a truck fleet honest. GPS telematics polled every 60 seconds, trips pulled from logistics portals, false positives filtered before anyone sees them.
- ESG compliance platform
- Carbon footprint on live emission factors, subscription billing, sustainability reports in several languages. Angular 19, Climatiq, Stripe, AWS Amplify.
- And the ones nobody notices
- Warehouse and barcode systems, financial suites of twenty modules, property investment mapping, company valuation engines, a Figma translation plugin, serverless scrapers against government portals, mobile apps shipped with Capacitor. Ten structured AI audits for clients in insurance, property, manufacturing, food logistics and e-commerce.

Smonto la tecnologia da quando arrivava dalla linea del telefono, e a ogni cambio ci sono arrivato presto. Cinque anni di quella roba sono finiti in oltre cinquanta prodotti consegnati come CTO e co-fondatore di Digital Oriented; il resto va in quello che ancora non capisco. Vivo a Milano, iscritto all’albo, classe 1997.
Lavoro recente, fuori da un campo solo
Roba mia, e di solito il motivo per cui una tecnica ricompare nel lavoro per i clienti qualche mese dopo.
- Una salina, letta dall’orbita
- Ricostruisce lo stato operativo di ogni bacino di un complesso di evaporazione solare senza un solo dato dell’operatore: quanta salamoia contiene, a che punto è della concentrazione, quando è stato caricato e quando scaricato. Costruito sul Salar de Atacama, da dove viene il litio, e su Margherita di Savoia. Sentinel-2 L2A, immagini pubbliche ottimizzate per il cloud via STAC. Nessuna autenticazione e nessun costo.
- Un gemello del fisco italiano
- Un motore che porta la legge al numero: contributi, IRPEF lorda e netta, detrazioni, addizionali regionali e comunali, cedolare secca, regime forfettario. E l’inverso, che ricostruisce il lordo dal netto, perché i dati di partenza sono sempre netti. Usato per dare un prezzo alle misure quantificabili di un programma politico dichiarando ogni ipotesi una per una, e rifiutandosi esplicitamente di giudicare il programma. Un modello può mettere un prezzo a una proposta. Non può dire se valga la pena pagarlo.
- Una perizia di stima sul software
- Relazione tecnica per la valorizzazione di un’azienda: stima dei software e della quota capitalizzabile del costo del personale tecnico. Metodo prescritto CO.CO.MO. II, con riferimenti a OIC 24, IAS 38 e Manuale di Frascati. Giudizio ingegneristico scritto per essere letto da commercialisti e avvocati.
- Due diligence su PDF fiscali italiani
- Pipeline a quattro livelli, classificatore, instradatore, esecutore, validatore, decisione, con flag per singolo campo così che una persona controlli solo quello che serve davvero. Bilanci, dichiarazioni, F24, libri giornale. Venti documenti su venti certificati al massimo della confidenza.
- Cinque anni di residenza, ricostruiti dai dati di una persona
- Per una pratica EU Settlement Scheme: due caselle di posta, estratti conto, l’archivio Uber ottenuto con richiesta di accesso ai dati con 522 corse geolocalizzate, storico dei voli, Passenger Locator Form, buste paga, council tax, contratti di affitto. Incrociati finché la cronologia non ha retto davanti all’Home Office.
- Un’isola dove gli animali imparano
- Conigli e volpi come agenti ad apprendimento per rinforzo, due tabelle Q su 6.480 stati, addestrate su 1.024 isole in parallelo sulla GPU, poi lette avidamente nel browser per 500 settimane simulate di erba, stagioni, riproduzione, siccità ed epizoozie. Ogni costante biologica presa dalla letteratura di campo con la conversione di unità scritta per esteso.
- Scoperta biomedica
- Il modello ABC di Swanson guidato da un modello linguistico sulla letteratura, a caccia del collegamento che nessuno ha ancora scritto. 100M+ archi in un knowledge graph Neo4j, 200M+ embedding cercati con FAISS. Microbioma e malattie rare.
- Un agente browser che si rialza
- Una macchina a stati LangGraph che pilota Chromium via Playwright. Riconosce un CAPTCHA, passa il controllo a una persona, e si rialza dai propri crash.

- Piattaforma gestione flotta
- Tre servizi che tengono onesta una flotta di camion. GPS interrogato ogni 60 secondi, viaggi estratti dai portali logistici, falsi positivi filtrati prima che qualcuno li veda.
- Piattaforma compliance ESG
- Impronta di carbonio su fattori di emissione aggiornati, fatturazione in abbonamento, report di sostenibilità in più lingue. Angular 19, Climatiq, Stripe, AWS Amplify.
- E quelli che nessuno nota
- Sistemi di magazzino e codici a barre, suite finanziarie da venti moduli, mappatura di investimenti immobiliari, motori di valutazione d’azienda, un plugin di traduzione per Figma, scraper serverless contro portali pubblici, app mobili con Capacitor.
